Sheri Reeves is a graduate of the prestigious Rambert School of Ballet in London, England, and a Certified Teacher of the Royal Academy of Dancing, London A.R.A.D. With a background as a widely traveled entertainer, Sheri has worked in a myriad of different dance environments. From a stage career in London to a singing career in the Middle East and Russia, Sheri has been blessed with a great variety of professional experiences all of which have added their own flavor to her teaching.

As a faculty member in the Dance Department at Sam Houston State University, and the owner of two private dance academies, a co-founder of a Dance Ministry at Faith Community Church in The Woodlands, Texas, and an Examiner for The Sonshine Christian Ballet Organization, she has shared her love of dance and the God who created it to countless students. This background has uniquely provided her with a rich technical base which she uses to prepare dancers, young and old, trained and untrained, to be able to consider using the language of dance to express their hearts to God! As she embarks on this new undertaking with One Day Academy her heart is to provide a fertile ground for the home-schooled dance community, to be able to develop and refine their skills and to allow their dance to reflect that love and freedom that they have as children of the living God.

Sheri and her husband, Marshall, attend Austin Stone Community Church. They have also home-schooled all four of their children. Katie, 22, attends Sam Houston State University; Sean, 21, is attending University of The Incarnate Word; Joseph, 17, will be graduating from high school in 2010 and plans to also attend University of the Incarnate Word; and her oldest daughter, April, a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University and wife to Jason Gunn, who is passing on her love of learning to her two beautiful daughters, Ashlyn, 5, and Breena, 2.
